About

Emma Wilson

Emma is the Principal Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor at Jigsaw.
Since she completed her training in 2008, Emma has practiced in both the
public and private health sectors in both Australia and the UK.
As a physio, Emma has developed particular expertise in musculoskeletal
work, acute care and rehabilitation of neurological conditions, aged care
and orthopedics.

Emma trained as a physiotherapist while racing as an elite level alpine
snow skiing athlete. Over a period of more than 10 years, she competed
successfully at national level winning several national titles. She
represented Australia at international levels and has also trained and
taught skiing in the USA. It was through her sport that she discovered
Pilates as a means of fitness training and clinical rehabilitation. She has
practiced Pilates personally for over 20 years and in 2011 undertook a
yearlong teaching course with the Insight Movement Training Centre for
allied health and fitness professionals.

Emma has taught in a number of Pilates studios in the Illawarra, the
Sutherland Shire and the UK. Through Jigsaw, she now applies her training
and love of Pilates with clients and patients through private, semi-private
and open class settings. This is done both in person and online.

Emma is committed to ongoing professional development both as a
physiotherapist and a Pilates instructor. She is currently completing her
training as a "Go-To Therapist" through the Prosport Academy in the UK.
